single pivot rear brake adjustment

Recently got a new bike, and it's got a dual pivot front brake and a single pivot rear. I can have a great deal of clearance on the rear to prevent one pad on the caliper from rubbing the rim, or if the pads are situated closer to the rim, one of the pads basically prevents the wheel from spinning. I'm trying to find a way to make the brake work properly: for both pads to have equal clearance. Below is a photo of the brake caliper (hope I uploaded it correctly!)

nevermind, I found out a quick fix. Just took a wrench to the two identically-shaped "nuts" between the caliper and the hole of the frame. Dunno if that's the officially sanctioned remedy out there, but it worked for me!

Ya done good! That is exactly the way single pivot brakes are centered. In fact there are very thin small open-end off-set wrenches sold specifically for this use.
