Change out brake lever and shifters to Deore XT
Is it possible to change out some parts on my bike? I am using the Avid FFR5 brake levers, and SRAM 3.0 Comp twist shifters. I would like to change them both to Deore XT. Will it work for the combo system? Or just the individual brake lever, and individual shifter?

Shimano shifters will not work with your SRAM rear derailleur. SRAM uses a 1:1 mechanishm whereas Shimano uses a 2:1. They are not compatible. You would have to swap out your rear derailleur for a Shimano one. The brake levers should work no problem though.
