What Size is a Presta Valve Hole?

I am trying to install Cassette on a wheel, and I need to drill a presta vavle size hole in the rim tape. I do not have a measurement caliper, and thus need to know how big a drill bit I should use. Could somebody please tell me what size presta valve holes are? Thanks.

    Regards,

You're trying to DRILL a hole in the rim TAPE? It's just a piece of cloth or plastic Just poke a hole through with an awl or a knife or something.

The exact size doesn't matter! The only function of the rim tape is to protect the tube from the spokes, and since there are no spokes right next to the valve hole, the size of the hole isn't too important. A Presta valve is about 4 mm in diameter. So a 6 mm hole would be big enough to fit the valve with some clearance. That'd be around 0.250".

The hole in the rim (Mavic Open Pro) for a Presta valve stem is 6.5mm.

I would just poke a hole with a pencil.

Just use a drill bit smaller than the hole in the rim. It'll melt or tear the hole bigger anyhow.
