Bottom Bracket question
Hi,
I'd be grateful for any advice.
My question is.Will any ISIS bottom bracket fit my FSA ISIS Gossamer crank,or will I have to get an FSA one with the same spec,68/108 ?
At the moment it has play side to side.My LBS says it's wrecked.It runs smooth though and has only done about 900 miles.Can the cartridge bearings be tightened? don't want to get a new one if it's ok

shouldn't be any side to side play.
if you've not had the BB very long you could try getting a new one under warranty?

Will FSA cranks work with Shimano bottom brackets,not the external type
and will 8,9 speed cranks work with a 10 speed set up

Your cranks take an ISIS bottom bracket. ISIS is a *standardized* type of splined BB spindle, so any brand of ISIS BB will work, but it must be English threaded, 68 mm wide, and you should get the length as close as possible to the current 108 mm (in general going 1-2 mm too long is safer than going 1-2 mm too short).
Shimano's splined Octalink BBs are *not* the same as ISIS.
Nashbar has ISIS BBs cheap, about $20. I've heard good things about them, though not used 'em myself.
