now that ive had my orginal question answered can someone tell me what kind of spacer I will need to add to the 9 speed cassette? Is it something I can easily get at the lbs?

but I doubt it is as trek don't use campagnolo on their bikes (I think - feel free to clarify).

good point wonder when treck will use campy in their bikes, they could sell them expensier hehehe or came up again with the REPLICA of lance armstrong and sell it this time for 15 grands. Wonder who bought the replica bike, because it was a super good scam for 8 or 9 grands heheh well isnt my money so f... it!

In the mid-90's Trek tried to spec one of their mid-line bikes with Campy components. They quickly found that Campy couldn't supply the goods in the quantity they needed and wasn't even familiar with how to package large-volume components for OEM use. They switched that model back to Shimano components in the middle of the model year.

Some Bontrager Race Lite wheels have DT hubs with replaceable freehub shells that can be converted from Shimano to Campy compatible. From the serial nuber DT should be able to tell you if that is possible. It was not possible on my wife's Race Lites.

The bontrager race lite is already on a campy bike.

So I dont need to use any new spacers or anything? The chain line will be fine just with out doing anything?

No I am currently running 9 speed veloce on this bike. I posted this on another forum and people kept telling me it wouldnt work because the chainline would be all screwed up. As you can tell I do not know much about this.

Campy 9-speed and 10-speed cassettes are the same width so you will not need any spacers to make the change.
