Cable Stops on Downtube shifter Boss's
I tried installing cable stops on the DT shifter boss's and they did not fiT flush on the Tube.
They stand off the frame about 3/8 inch due to the length of the bolt cylinder on the boss.
Can I just use the Dremmel to cut & shorten this section or do I need anther Style Cable stop?
Don't know the answer, but I'm curious about a few things.
What frame do you have?
Do the stops look like these?

Yeah, They make two different kinds. One is flat backed and the other is curved back. If you scroll down on the link the db listed, you will see two different ones listed. It sounds like maybe you need the curved back.
This is a Terranaut, A House Brand Of the Touring Cyclist in St. Louis. I do not know who actually built this.
Lugged Steel Ishiwata 25 double butted Frame and in almost new condition.
14-32 6 speed with 48-36 chainrings, Suntour shifters and components. Made in Japan - 27" wheels $5.00 at the Local thrift
52 Cm, low geared and the thickest Tubing Ishiwata line, probably a Mid 80's tourer. Still very light weight.
I want to flat bar this, I bought 6 speed index Deore thumb shifters and need to get an index Shimano deraileur
I am building it for my daughter to replace the 30+ lb Huffy Mountain Bike
Looks nice, sorry I don't have any info for you.
