Rear derailleur - M,S?

Looking to upgrade to the new Record and was wondering which rear derailleur I need. Medium or short.

I will be running a 50/34 compact crank with an 11/23 rear cassette.

However once a year I throw a 13/29 on the back for a climb I do with some buddies (6 km @ 13% ave)

Will the short cage work OK with this second setup?

You need 32 teeth of chain wrap. Campy Record short cage derailleurs are only rated for 27.
