F/DERAILLEUR issue

So I recently purchased a Felt F4C 06(2 days ago)

Haven't even ridden it yet, and I can't get the F/DERAILLEUR to shift to the 34

It has shimano ultegra F/DERAILLEUR and shifters

User issue? bike shop issue? component issue?

The shifter seems like it's jammed or being blocked about half way through the motion. I remember shifting it once while test riding it...but not after

any advice before I take it in?

might want to disconnect the FD cable from the FD and see if it'll shift for you then. if cable tension is too high, the shifter really won't want to release tension, and it'll feel as if you're about to break something inside the shifter.

Since this is a new bike I'd take it back to the dealer to fix.

If you have your heart set on fixing it yourself, goto the Park Tool website and find the instructions for installing a front derailleur. Follow them IN ORDER starting with the position of the derailleur on the seat tube.

Have you tried adjusting the low limit screw?
