will 9 speed 105 shifters operate rx 100 ders?
Greetings,
A friend is giving me RX 100 ders, cogset, and cranks w/bb. Will my current 105 brifters operate the rx 100 indexing correctly? I have no idea, at the moment, if his components were 7, 8, or 9 speed.
Thanks,
NFields

Deraillers aren't speed-specific, only shifters and cassettes are. All Shimano rear deraillers designed for indexed-shifting have the same amount of movement per amount of cable pulled (except 7- and 8-speed Dura-Ace, but that's not your worry). So you're fine.
