Weird Wheel Noise

I just got a new (to me) bike. You know that sound a drive train makes when you try to shift gears, but the chain hasn't quite caught onto the next gear? My bike makes that noise only while coasting. When I pedal, it doesn't make any goofy noises (although I sometimes do!), but the second I stop I get that "can't quite shift" sound.

Any ideas? I checked Sheldon's site, and I don't think it is the spoke problem he mentions. (The spokes do not seem any more loose than on my other bikes.) My wheel is true, and it does not rub the brake pads.

These are old Gipiemme Sprint hubs, perhaps they are just supposed to sound that way?

The noise is coming from the freewheel mechanism, some are just noisier than others. You wont get the noise if you keep pedaling.
