spoke prep better than loc-tite?
I have a Powertap Hub and a DT swiss r1.1 rim that were built by QBP. A few of my spokes keep coming loose. Is it worth it to buy a can of spoke-prep and re-install the loose spokes? I have a little bottle of that blue threadlocker from loc-tite, that's supposed to be nonpermanent, how does that compare?
I'm not trying to be cheap, I LOVE spending money on bike stuff, but I just wonder if this is necessary.
Thanks,
B.

The problem isn't with the spoke prep -- the wheel is under tensioned. I would contact the wheelbuilder. I build my wheels with lubed threads and never have spokes come loose.

I have used green Locktite with success. It is self wicking and is applied to the nipple after the wheel is built. I am blanking on the number but I believe it was 242 or 290. Roger

+1 You can use the blue if you like but I would bet that another spoke comes loose or breaks soon. If so, then waterrockets suspicions are confirmed.

Blue locktight is OK to use on spoke threads but I agree with the others, the wheel needs to be tensioned and trued.
