Compact to regular geometry = new chain and cassette?
Hi all,
I'm changing frames and will be going from a compact geometry frame to a more classic road frame. I'll be switching all of my components over. Am I going to need to get a new (longer) chain? Does this mean I'll need a new cassette too, or is that just a clever marketing ploy by the good folks at shimano?
Just trying to come up with a list before I start pulling things off of the bike.

I'm not sure why you would need a new chain or cassette. You might need to adjust the chain length, but that depends on the chainstay length, not the seat tube.

hello
I wouldn't worry about the chain, but I'll be more concerned about the seatpost diameter..... but that's me...
