Pins & Ramps on a Double Crank (smaller ring)
Am I correct that the smaller ring on a double crank typically doesn't have pins and/or ramps? Thanks!

Yes. Double chainrings are often matched tho. There is a letter code stamped before the tooth count.

FWIW I've mixed the "matched" chainrings ("Oh my ghod, don't let them As get near them Bs!") and have yet to notice any decrease in shifting performance.

I've been using non-ramped and pinned rings recently and the shifting is acceptable.
