Look 4x4 overhaul

My pedals are really looking forward to be overhauled very soon, but can't figure out how to get this sh*t open, manage to remove top cap and axle lock nut but then comes a wall, should I just be able to get the axle out by smashimg it's outer end? Well, done this quite much with no success. There should be one cartridge bearing and one needle bearing in there. Lousy instructions don't tell anything about overhauling, apart of saying it should be done sometimes.

Hope someone is familiar with this, thanks

I'm not sure that most Look pedals are designed to be serviceable. Which model are you working with, from what era?

I don't know that the 4x4 are any different at all from your standard Eggbeater. Check with Crank Brothers.
