What do I need to do and know?

I have a Raleigh with Shimano 600 everything, but I broke the frame. How hard is it to transfer everything to a different frame? I've found a couple of steel centurion frames online pretty cheap and I'm thinking about making a beater roadie commuter out of this. Also, how do I figure out how big a tire my rim will take? I'm currently runnig 700x25's, but I might want to go with something bigger for commuting.

The most important thing is to make sure that all the parts on the Raliegh will fit the "new" frame. You need to know:

If the head tubes are the same size on the bikes. (unless the "new" frame comes with a fork and headset) But you could still have stem issues if they are different.
If the bottom bracket threading is the same. Most likely it is.
If the brakes have recessed bolts or not.
The seatposts might be different sizes

As for tires, a lot of older road bikes have very tight clearances between the brake bridge and the tire. My old Giant fixie couldn't take more than 25's.
