Front Derailer Clamp Size
Hi,
I'm shifting a group from one frame to a new and exciting old frame. The FD clamp (Tiagra 9spd front) is a bit big. Is there any reason I can't use one of the rubber inserts from lights/computers/etc that I have laying around to make up the difference?
If not, does anyone know if smaller clamps are available? Any idea where to get one?
Thanks!!!

Shimming would work, but use something less compressable. I think rubber will allow enough movement to make aligment difficult to maintain and give poor shifting performance.
I believe you can get different clamp sizes, so that would be a better solution. It might even be worth picking up an old derailler just to steal the clamp.
