Help - Mavic Ksyrium Rear Hub Adjustment

I recently purchase a Mavic Ksyrium wheelset which have only been ridden a couple of times. I am not sure what possessed me to screw around with the rear hub bearing adjustment (with the "C" tool with four little prongs) but I did. I now have no idea whether it is properly adjusted. It seems as though you can loosen the adjusment plate quite a bit but feel no play in the bearings. I am tempted to tighten it up to the point where there seems to be some drag and then back off a bit but here again it seems like you have to really tighten down on the adjustment plate to create drag. How do I reset the adjustment. The wheelset is basically brand new and I don't want to ruin it.

Adjust it until you feel a bit of drag and then back it off 1/4 ot 1/2 a turn. This should be somewhere in the almost totally turned in position.

I think they recommend a little on the loose side so when you tighten the quick release down it tightens up the bearings. If you tighten the bearings to tight they will tighten even more when you crank the quick release down and they will be to tight.

The website that graeme recommended tells you what to do - essentially what I do is grab the wheel and try to move it side to side - if there's play I tighten with the special wrench an 1/8 turn at a time until the play is gone.
