I ask this question already buit having difficult understanding the replies. I wanna kno a easy and cheap way to lighten my bike a little bit. Its a Raleigh Ambush and isnt that bad of a bike, but it is too heavy! Another thing is my chain keeps coming off and gets jammed and stuck and stuff and takes me so long to get un jammed. It has happened about 10 times and i have had my bike fer a month so could sombody plzz help me????

about the chain coming off, that may be due to cable stretch. If you have been riding a lot, then your cables will slowly stretch, and your derailler adjustment will get screwed up, and it may pop your chain off. no biggie, just take it back to the shop you got it from. they usually offer a free tune up.

About the weight thing, i wouldn't worry about it. places to take weight off are in the wheels mostly, but your bike has a gaspipe steel frame, and that is going to be heavy no matter which way you look at it. I would not worry about the weight, just ride the bike and enjoy it.

A Raleigh would come from a bike shop. You need to take it to them and tell them what is happening, if the chain is dropping off then it is more likely a limit screw problem letting the der. move the chain to far.
