    Books

I'd like to start maintaining my bike myself in a proper fashion.

Can anyone recommended a good book that covers everything for modern bikes?

If it is an e-book then all the better.

I have an older copy of Bicycling Magazine Complete Guide to Bicycle Repair. Picked it up used at Half Price Books. It is worth considering.
