Any changes to Shimano Ultegra in 2007?
I'm planning to purchase a 10-speed Shimano Ultegra triple gruppo, and some places note that they only have the 2006 version.
As such, I was wondering if there were any updates/upgrades/changes made to the Ultegra line for 2007? Just trying to find out if there's any drawback in getting last year's model. I do seem to recall reading that there was an issue with chainring teeth breaking, but I don't know if that was referring to the 2005 line.
Thanks

I don't think Shimano has released much info on the high level groups for 2007.
Truthfully, what is there to improve on any modern group? Until SRAM came along, Shimano and Campy had it all tied up. Shimano gave you the best buy for the money out there. Campy had the best fit & finish available. SRAM basically gave you a third choice but nothing else. These are personal opinions, take them for what they're worth.
I wouldn't have any problem buying a 2006 Ultegra group. Unless you're 15 it will probably outlive you. Good luck

I don't think they changed anything for 2007 on the ultegra line...
Typically if something had changed yo'ud have spied it on a bike by now (E.g. New Tiagra is offered on a few companies 2007 models.)

Shimano doesn't do "annual" changes to it's groups. When they do change a component, they change the model number whether it is a significant change or a minor upgrade.
