Casette digging into freehub on Powertap SL
Hey guys, so after just maybe 500 mi or so of riding on my new Powertap SL, I tried to change the cassette, and to my dismay found that the cassette was lodged on the freehub body. I was able to use the chain whip to rock it free, but what happened is 4 or 5 of the cogs (in the middle gears - Ultegra 10 sp) had dug, clockwise, into the raised portion of the grooves on the freehub body, leaving dents and pushing up the metal a bit. I've since changed the cassette a few times, and everything works fine, but the cassette can still get jammed on. Will continuing to use it like this cause problems, and did I do anything wrong to cause this in the first place?

The aluminum freehub bodies are only supposed to last one race. If you want yours to last longer get a steel one and dont worry about the extra 15 gms.

Yep, AL freehub bodies suck for everything but weight. Looking online, I don't see any options available for a Powertap freehub body -- just a $60 replacement. I think they're all aluminum.
It sounds like the AC clips are the way to go. A quick search didn't turn up any place to buy them, but you can read about them here, then ask your LBS to get some for you: (Search page for "clips") https://www.amclassic.com/faq.html

As waterrockets wrote, American Classic sells clips for Ultegra/Dura-Ace or pins for 105. I asked about ordering an extra set to have as spares, but they're $15 for the three, so I decided to hold off You can reach them at 800-813-5545. Even with the clips, my 420's freehub body gets some wear indentations from the smallest cogs, but it's in a lot better shape than it would be if the load from the middle four cogs weren't being spread across the width of the clips.
