FSA RD400 Wheelset Issues
Anyone here ride these wheels and have any issues with them? I bought this set brand new last year and I constantly have spokes loosening up and the spring broke inside the hub already.
I put on about 1500 miles of normal hills / flats type of riding. I called FSA and they sent me a small bottle of 290 lock but haven't responded to my "should I send this back to you for repair" email. I read lots of reviews and heard many good things but it doesn't seem that way in my opinion. Maybe a bad wheel?

From what I've read, FSA is going to come out with a complete group some time in the near future. No way I'd jump onto that sinking ship until all the leaks are plugged.

IMO, stick with Campy or Shimano. Neither one will give you any trouble. Good luck

Was this posted over in road biking? Anyway RD400 seems to have lots of issues. Rear hub noises, spokes, rims cracking. I have had RD80s which is the entry level and they have been essentially bombproof. Only complaint is with hidden nipples, you must detire to true the wheel.

I just bought a pair of these on ebay and was looking to relace them with dt swiss spokes in a 2 cross pattern on both sides not just the drive side and maybe reducing the spoke tension slightly. Although it may add some weight it should make a stonger wheel ,uniform spoke tension is also critical. I had a pair of alx320s that broke alot of spokes finally replaced them with DT swiss 14g straight gauge spokes and no more problems.
