Noise coming from drivetrain.

This is in regards to my 06' Bianchi Pista.
The noise started maybe about a week ago and I think I've finally figured out where its coming from. It seems to be coming from the cranks/BB. It only happens when the cranks are in a horizontal position and only when I apply a lot of pressure to the non-drive side crank. I really noticed it when I was doing a track stand and I got a little wobbly, so when I began to correct myself I immediately heard a metallic sounding click any time I would apply pressure to that crank only.
What could be the cause of this? Something loose? bad BB?

Thanks in advance

I fear, your guess is probably right. This is the one and only thing that has been a constant issue through the years for me, no matter what bike. It sounds like it could use some new bearings maybe.
