Shimano + Campy brake fixing nuts compatible?

Can anyone tell me if Campagnolo and Shimano brake fixing nuts are compatible? I've got a carbon rear stay that is really deep and needs an especially long fixing nut for the Campagnolo skeleton brake and can only find Shimano ones online.

Shimano and Sun Tour brake bolts are threaded M6x1 and I believe Campy uses the same threading so the nut should fit. Check the threading on the Campy bolt to be sure.

The recessed nuts are the same. Why buy this on-line (unless as part of larger order)? Cheap as nuts are your LBS should be cheaper because of shipping and you can have it today.

Thanks for the answer guys. Unfortunately although I could grab one from the LBS, the LBS isn't so 'L', its a 25 mile ride and as the bike isn't currently working and I don't have a car it will probably be quicker to get it delivered. Plus they may not have any 24mm nuts... anyway, thanks for the info.
