Seat post size?

On a Miele. I am having trouble measuring the post hole/seat tube. The 27.2 I have is tight. What is next smaller or do you know what these bikes take?

Well, maybe I should have said just - tight. I feel it is to large for sanding. By the way, the tube is clean. It is just hat steel stretches a bit so it seem several sizes could fit.

Don't know what a Miele takes but they make a 27.0 post. Does your original post have any markings?
