Mounting SKS fenders to a IRD Mosaic fork with calipers

I have a set of SKS fenders and a IRD Mosaic 57 carbon fork, which has recess mounted caliper brakes. The rear of the fork bulges outward about 1/4" just after the recess. Ideally I would like to mount the fenders on the rear of the fork as they were designed.

Would the Sheldon Fender nuts help me out of this? It seems like even with the extender nut the fender tab would still be jammed into the bulge on the fork and any sort of spacers would be beyond the reach of even this nut. Have I got any other options?

Solved: Mounted the fender on the front (behind the brake), bent the fender mount so it didn't run into the headset. Works fine.

That was going to be my recommendation. Mounting the bracket at the front of the fork crown doesn't move it very far forward and won't compromise the protection much. Add a mud flap to the bottom of the fender for additional coverage if you like.
