Question on swapping wheels

http://cgi.ebay.com/Fulcrum-Race-7-R...QQcmdZViewItem

I don't know much about wheels and I was wondering if these would work fine on my 06 Jamis Ventura Comp.

Thanks

Can't say that I have ever heard of Fulcrum. One thing worth noting is that this probably wouldn't be a substantial upgrade from what you have now. As replacements they'd work fine, just don't expect a huge difference other than looks. For the price, you might want to do some research to chase down a better upgrade deal.:)

The wheels will fit your bike fine.

metabike is right though. Fulcrum 7s are the low-end Fulcrums, and are really nothing special other than their name (they're made by Campagnolo -- marketed to the Shimano crowd). Fulcrums are generally well reviewed, but I only ever hear about the higher-end sets.

Your current wheels have a deeper cross-section, which means they are slightly more aerodynamic, and likely to be stronger too. Dunno about weight, as spokes, rims, and hubs all play into that. At $200, those Fulcrums weigh 1855g, which is not a lightweight set, so you're probably already in that vicinity.
