how do you know when you have a bent wheel
This is a borrowed pic from another post but my front TIRE (not tube as shown in the pic) looks just like that fully inflated. It kind of bulges out to the side a little. I took out the whole tube and reinsert and it still looks the same.
Last night stupidly I guess I was standing on my bike on the trainer to do some workouts that suggested that I should stand and put it on the heaviest gear my leg can handle. Well I did just that and I felt I put all the weight on the front tire and as a result my tires are like that. Have I bent my wheel? I'm kind of on the heavy side (160lbs). Can this be fix w/out getting a new wheel and do i need to get matching wheels ?

Looks like it's out of true. Bike shop can probably fix it for $15 or so.
You shouldn't need a new wheel, but if you do, any wheel that's the right size will work. If it's a fairly modern bike, the shop might be able to order a matching wheel.

Spin the wheel and look for a wobble. Or could your tire just have a bulge in it? Why do you think putting the bike on a trainer did this?

Without actually seeing the rim it is not possible to know if it is repairable or if you need a new rim to rebuild the wheel. Check the rim for cracks in the effected area. If the metal is not cracked or crimped a bicycle mechanic may be able to straighten the rim. Your weight should not damage a rim. Hitting a chug hole or solid object while riding could.

I think that's what that is .. a broken cord .. not sure what that means exactly but there was an air gap between the TIRE and RIM. It was a very slight gap that was not constant with the rest of the tire. I thought that gap was b/c the wheel was bent but I don't think that's the case.
Anyway I picked up an Armadillo All Condition today. I should've gone with the Armadillo Elite as they were just $5 but forgot about it and just picked up whatever armadillo they gave me. I hope its not a huge difference between the 2.
