Hybrid Wheels mavic a319 vs. a719

Hi folks,
I have a Trek 750 I'm rather fond of, but alas the suntour components are tough to find, & it doesn't seem to make any sense to dig around, & replace the casette for 70 bucks vs. replacing the hub or wheelset.

The bike as 132mm in the rear so anything should work. I was looking at some 32 spoke a319's with LX hub for a couple hundred vs. an a719 with a similar hub, but 36spokes.
My old titan tour rims are in fair shape, are 32 spoke, & have taken the beating I give them fairly well. I am unsure of how wide they are but they work pretty good with my 35mm tires.

I'm inclined towards the higher spoke count, but wonder if my preferred 35mm (Vittoria so it's probably not even a true 35) might be a bit narrow for those rims - they list as a 23.5 rim from what I've seen which per Sheldon's chart is a bit wide for a 35 assuming I've read everything right. any thoughts on that or other rims/alternatives? I was thinking of going with an 8 speed shimano setup or similar.

I have a Mavic a319 36 spoke wheel on my bike. It's been good. The quality of the wheel build is more important than the rim, except that it's easier to do a good build if the rim is of good quality. So make sure the build is good!
