Truvativ Elita Double - Spider loose on spindle

I have a problem with my Truvativ Elita Crankset on my Scott Speedster S30.
I bought the bike in December and it has about 560 miles on it. The chainring spider is loose (it moves 1-2mm or so when you wiggle the crank) on the spindle shaft and it creaks and clicks when I ride it.
I am going to take it back to the LBS and I am wondering if I should expect this problem to be covered by the warranty.

Have you tried tightening it?
