Would sprocket always be true?
 

There is a lot of noise coming from the back end of my bike... it appears to be coming from the jockey wheels. When I took a closer look the other day, i noticed that my sprocket isn't turning true. Is that possible? Since the sprocket is seated on the hub, and the hub is seated to the frame, shouldn't the sprocket spin true all the time?

My sprocket looks like it's spinning on an angle with a whoble (spelling?)... it's a bit hard to explain for me since I am a noob at this. Would the true-ness of my wheel affect the rear sprocket? I believe both my wheels are out of true. The front wheel had to be trued before they sold me the bike... I think people did some damage test riding the bike... that makes me think the rear wheel wasn't true to begin with.

Any recommnedations on stronger wheel sets? My bike comes with mavic open sport. Thanks.

Its normal for cassettes to wobble a bit so dont worry bout that. The trueness of the rims wont effect the cassette so you need to look elsewhere. However if they are out of true get them trued anyway. The rims you have are nice and strong for most types of road riding, loaded cycle touring would be beyond their remit. Check that the rear wheel is correctly aligned in the dropouts. An easy way to do this is to check that the gap between the tyre and chainstays is equal on each side. If you have horizontal dropout its just a matter of moving the rear wheel in the dropouts untill its correctly aligned. You mention jockey wheel noise, this may be the wheel bearings breaking up, the chain catching on the wheel cage's or a stiff chainlink jumping. Hope this helps

It is possible to have the cassette on crooked. I was riding behind a friend and noticed how much his cassette wobbled (on new Mavics), and sure enough when he took them in to the store they found a cocked spacer was resulting in his cassette wobble. Remount fixed it. Got the tools to give it a try?
