Im so confused right now...Calling Ultimate Pro Owners

Here's the story...Last week I purchased an ultimate pro repair stand from jenson usa after reading many positive reviews. I eagerly wait a week, come Friday I get the stand, open it up and read the directions and try it out. But something was wrong. The clamp arm that extends out of the clamp body came completely out, and there was something loose inside the clamp. I come to find out that the nut that holds the extending clamp arm from extending out completely. I am bummed, but not annoyed yet. I call jenson, they send me a new stand 2 day. ok, everything's fine right? Wrong...
Today I receive the new stand, once again open it up and try it out. Everything's cool, clap works great, it does not extend out the whole way. So I go and try another bike on the stand, and when I loosened the knob to release the lever...guess what happens? I hear something jingle again, and the extending arm extends completely out.
I was wondering if anyone has any similar experiences with this happening in ultimate stands? I am so confused if I am totally missing something. Well I'm off to call jenson and tell them what happened...

No problems with my Pro Elite. You only need to turn the knob a couple of turns to allow the clamp jaw to slide out.

See with the pro elite it has the button, which I find to be awesome. If only this nut would stop breaking the Pro would be great.

I've had the Ultimate Pro Elite stand for about a year. A month or so after I got it, the ratcheting mechanism in the jaws stopped holding them closed (you'd push them shut and they'd pop right back open). I disassembled the head and found that a spring had popped off and was flopping around loose. I put everything back in place and it's been fine ever since. The mechanism isn't very complicated inside so don't be afraid to pull it apart.
