Schwalbe Marathons on Velocity Dyad rims

I was trying to put some Schwalbe Marathon tires (700 x 32) on a set of wheels that I built up -- Velocity Dyad rims, Phil Wood hubs. I noticed that the tire seemed to be quite bigger than the rim; I had to push the tire in to keep the tube from creeping out from between the tire and the rim as I inflated.

Yesterday, I went out on a ride, and after about 4 miles, I had a blowout. When I was changing the tube, I again noticed that it seemed odd that the tire seemed to be so much bigger than the rim. I surmised that the blowout occured from the tube creeping between the tire and rim.

In any case, I took the bike to my lbs so they could investigate.

Has anyone else noticed this type of thing with Marathons on Dyad rims? Any ideas on what my problem could be?
