Nope. Cranks are fine, though they may be a bit short at 170mm, but you need a 68x109.5 bottom bracket. 68mm width is is the more popular english threading (which a CAAD8 most asuredly is), while your's is 70mm which is italian threading. Plu,s the longer spindle length (118.5) is used for a triple crankset whilest yours is a double.

thanks for the info on the bb
I will look for a 68x109.5 ( no wonder the 70mm was so cheep on ebay)
BTW I am only 5'5 so the 170mm will work for me I believe.

The two bb's indicated are mutually exclusive. The Crankset shown uses the first type of BB you have pictured there. Not the external bearing ones which is what the last picture is.

Sounds like you are good to go. If you can't find a 6500 (ultegra level) BB then also look for a 5500 (105 level) one. Not much difference (couple of grams) and they are 100% compatible. Enjoy the CAA8, I built one up last summer and it is a great riding machine!
