cross topper brakes

I'm working on getting everything together for a build and i am considering crosstopper brakes, in addition to regular. now, i may be wrong, but isn't there a way to route both on the same cable? How is this done, is there aspecial cable or something with an extra little nubby, or what? pictures of a setup like this would be great.
thanks

You cut two sections of the housing - one runs under the tape to the 'in' side of the cross top lever, then the other runs out the other side of the lever down to the brake itself. You then pass the cable through the housing in the normal way and connect it up to the brake.

so the crosstopper pushes the cable housing as opposed to pulling the cable....how does this work with routed brake lines and stuff? i dont think i'm quite getting it...

yep, they're pushing on the housing rather than pulling the cable.
