8 speed Centaur chainset?
Hi, I suppose I should post this in the regional forums 'cos I'm from London UK. My problem is I've been collecting drive bits to suit a set of Campag Shamals, which have only an 8-speed Record cassette. I have all parts including 8-speed ergo levers, except for a double, and obviously older model, Centaur crankset to fit a Centaur BB. If anyone has one of these in good condition could they message me for a quick sale? Thanks. phantazy

Centaur was a MTB group in the 8 sp era. It only came as a triple. The current Centaur was called Daytona. Daytona replaced Athena in approx 2000. Any Athena crank and a symetrical 111.5mm BB will work on a Athena or below crank. I believe that the Centaur MTB cranks were something like 122mm or larger. That is far too long for what you want.

Hi, Thanks for the clarification. I was unaware of when these changes were made. Currently we have Record,Chorus, Centaur Mirage and Veloce and Race Triple. I did not know when Daytona and Athena became obsolete.
