Measuring for a Seat clamp
I've got an old Marin Indian Fire Trail circa 1993. I want to get a new seatpost clamp, but I can't find the size on any sites. I used a micrometer to measure the o.d. of the seat tube (34.15mm) and the o.d. of the seatpost (31.35mm). I remember that bike shop techs would always say that these are odd dimensions - very oversized. Can anyone direct me to a site(s) or what size I should be getting for my needs? At the very least, a site that sells just the bolt and nut (no QR) and I can use my seatpost collar and get rid of the QR. I don't ride as much anymore and everything on the bike is QR. I'm planning on just using the bike for some exercise rides and rides with my wife and I don't want any parts on the bike to get stolen if I have to lock it up outside.
Thanks,
Jerold

The closest standard diameter seatpost clamp is 34.9 mm and I'd try one of those.
