Campagnolo Nuevo Gran Sport Capacity

Can someone tell me the capacity of a rear nuevo gran sport derailleur or where I might find that info? I would like to find a smaller inner chainring, but that doesn't look possible with the old 3 arm crank, so I'm hoping to put on a larger freewheel. Thanks for reading!

That's "nuovo" not "nuevo." Campagnolo is Italian, not Spanish. ;-)

I would expect that derailer to just barely handle a 28 in back.

If the bike is an actual "rider" rather than something to hang on the wall, I would advise upgrading the rear derailer at least. A $20 Shimano Tourney would function WAY better than your NGS, and would be able to handle a wider range of gears, even down to a 34, which would make a BIG difference in the climbing ability of the bike.

Thanks for the tip Sheldon, and the Italian lesson LOL. Sounds like a plan, I can keep the NGS and freewheel if I ever want to sell the bike as original.
