Tube Patches: Glueless vs Glue Type
Have always carried a spare tube and a pack of PARK glueless patches (type GP-2). But recently overheard a fellow rider complaining that all he had were glueless patches, and that he would be lucky to finish the ride. Confess that I've never used a patch before, having always just turned to the spare tube when needed.
Just curious: is this the general consensus of glueless patches? Are they really just a temporary fix? Or is the glue-type (though a bit more of a hassel) much more effective?
