Bearings in rear hub gone already? 6803 C3

I have had the bike for several months and ride a lot but dont think they should be toast already. I have American Classic 420's and the wheel is loose from the bearing not in the wheel but in the cartridge section, any input? I have had trouble finding ones other than ceramic. They are 6803 C3's and what does the C3 part say about them?

The C3 has to do with the internal fit of the bearing. The internal fit is the amount of space or "clearance" that exists between the balls and rings of the bearing. The 6803 refers to the series (6800) and the "03" refers to a specific size of 17mm bore.

Check out your local industrial bearing distributor or online "Boca Bearings".

    Here's a link to a standard 6803 http://www.bocabearings.com/main1.as...0&n=MR6803-2RS
