Octalink/Deore LX Crankset

I am trying to install this crank but found that I don't have an allen key/wrench large enough for the crank bolts. My guess is that they are upwards of 10mm, but I have no way of knowing. Anyone install these and remember what size these bolts are?

Shimano's tech docs show two different sizes for some of those V2 Octalink cranks. (8mm&10mm)

Thanks, I must be looking for a 10mm then. I looked up the crank I have on the site you linked, but didn't find sizes for the bolts. Where did you find these sizes?

The crank I have is the M572 - the spec sheet doesn't list the bolt size like the one you linked here does. Thanks again.

If you look closely, it indicates 8mm in the assembly instructions for 571/572 crankset.

I see that here, but my bolts are bigger - I tried an 8mm last night. I'll try the 10mm - worst thing would be that I get a new tool I'll eventually find some use for!

It's 10mm - I got a set of sockets? for my torque wrench and got the crank on at lunch.
