surly pacer cable stops

Maybe i'm just a nub or something, but if I was going to build up a Surly Pacer frame, where would the cable stops for the shifters be? I didn't see anything about them on the Surly website...

I wouldn't really want to use down-tube shifters on it, something more along the lines of barend shifters, or STI/Ergo.

Bikes: 1 road bike (simple, light), 1 TT bike (could be more aero, could be lighter), 1 all-weather commuter and winter bike, 1 Monark 828E ergometer indoor bike

If you buy a set of Shimano brifters, or bar-end shifters, included in the box is a pair of downtube stops (with integrated barrel adjusters) that mount on the downtube bosses.

Ah, I did not know that, I thought the shifters/brifters only came with the units, and cables. Thanks, that makes things a lot clearer.

Edit: anyone have a picture of these stops, or if they stand out too much...I don't want something too radical.
