I gave that bike to another college kid when I left and told him I rode it that way for 4 years! and he rode it for who knows how many years.

That tube is not kinked as you have stated, it's bent, there's a difference. Also, if the tube was to crack and because it's steel the bike would still be rideable if you kept your eye on the crack to make sure it wasn't spreading. But I can tell by the bend that that tube will not crack.

Your post is as incoherent as the one you are apparently nitpicking.

It's true. Riding with CPSC on your side means that they'll make sure you live well into forever.

By the way Moose, that ain't no fish, that's a guppy. I'm too old to make any other comments, I'll just go daydream a while.

WTF are you talking about - she's lovely. So what if her belly bulges out a bit, people can't all conform to a bulimic, silicon-enhanced image presented by the media. EFF THAT!

I know you meant this comment as a joke, but I am so tired of the image of the perfect woman the media is pushing on us, and the effect it is having on society. Stop that **** already and appreciate women the way they are!

That's awesome. I laughed my ass off for about 5 minutes straight.

Would you be honored if I quoted you in my signature/footer, so that it shows up in every post?!?

If that was a CF frame what do you think it would look like after that incident? You're lucky you were on a steel frame bike. Good luck and start looking for a new ride.

Hmmm...

One would hope, were I actually a "professional troll", with corporate sponsorship and all, that I would be "quite good at it".

Well, ya see, I figured back on page 2, when the OP appeared for the last time (out of 2 posts) in this thread, in post #25 (we're now at 72),
that the OP was the troll, and I was just having fun... as it seemed you were, too, Moose.

Now I find that you were being serious...

... that every one of your posts was intended as a helpful hint to keep the OP cycling smoothly and safely, in his chosen uber-economical, if stupid, way.
That photo of the woman with the crappie, (or is it a bluegill?) was a pictorial allegory to point out the risks of continuing to ride a crappy steel bike with a broken frame, right?

"If you ride that bike with the bent frame, your clothes won't fit anymore when you go fishing... beware!"

...umm, no, despite Moose's judgment, you fell right into your own trap... the trap that's called, 'feeling guilty about what you saw on Dr. Phil's show, and then accusing others of it'.

I said nothing at all about the woman's figure. I never said she wasn't lovely. Her eyes are quite nice, and she has an innocent, yet seductive smile.
I'm acutally a bit partial to redheads with freckles, too!
I asked whether her clothes actually belonged to her little sister, or the camera's lens unnaturally accentuated the gap between the bottom of her shirt and the top of her pants. It was a prejudicial innuendo about her choice of fishing togs, I'll admit...

You decided to extrapolate that into some kind of Oprah-esque crusade about media-downtrodden women's body-image. Get real. Nobody likes seeing fat guys' butt-cracks peeking out the backs of their shorts when they bend over to reach their handlebars, but we should all applaud ladies' jelly rolls just because they're vain slaves to Wallyworld fashion and won't buy clothes that actually fit them? It's not a human rights issue, it's a shopping choice.

For the record, straight up, in case my previous posts weren't clear enough:

The OP's bike isn't fit to ride. It obviously wasn't fit to ride before he crashed it. Now, the frame's bent, too. It's a suicycle.

You just haven't recognized that this is a perfect excuse to get a new ride. Think upgrade, while you are at it. And no whining about the cost of new bikes, Yes they are way up from when you bought that one. OTOH, new bikes are also waay nice. Get one. bk
