Anybody have a Continni?

I got this bike and one of the decals seems to be a bit off. I go to remove it and it seems to be clear coated over. It has a bit of a wrinkle in it so i was wanting to remove it along with the other one on the other side of the seat tube. The wrinkled one seems removable but the other seems to be covered in clear coat. Or maybe i should say the wrinkled one also seems to be partially covered in clear coat also. Or is it just well moulded in? I would not want to pull on it and then end up with a creater in the clear where the decal was.

Anybody know if they were just placed on after all the painting?

Dude, your post doesn't make much sense and you gave zero information about the bike. "Continni" (prolly misspelled as well) isn't quite an accurate identification.
And yeah, that's a rare brand so you shd just take a good look at it rather than ask.

Clearly stated, Contini is the name.
If you were familiar with the bike, you may have an answer. If you are not, then I understand you not being able to comment on if that maker clear coated the frames before or after decaling them.
I am looking for somone who is familiar.

I am not quite sure if you just want a smooth finish or you want to try to restore the decals. In any case, I think decals are put on mostly as you describe, over dry paint and then clear coated. If you don't care about the decals, find any decent bike painter to remove the decals and redo the finish. You can pm Dr. Deltron on here if you need more info.

I have not heard of a Continni, nor did Google turn up anything relevant other than this thread as a hit. Any idea how old the bike is? I know in the 70's and 80's there were alot of small builders in Europe that were unheard of in the US. Not sure what the state was after that.

Maybe post some pics in the Classic and Vintage if you are interested in finding out more about the bike.

Got the bike from a guy at the Great Westrn Bike Rally in CA this year. He stated he bought it while studying in Spain. I guessed that was about 5-8 years or so ago.
It is a Columbus steel bike with curved seat tube (Tri type)and sculputured top tube like some other bikes.
Has a lot of stickers on it and removing a couple would not hurt.

Contini owner

Hi, I have a Contini and the decals are entirely flat with the paint so a lacquer over-coat has been applied.
There's so little information available about these bikes it's very frustrating. I bought mine second-hand frame only and have only seen one 'complete' - the seller had bought it bespoke Majorca. It appears that the bikes originate in Spain, possibly Majorca. I love mine and use it as a winter hack but I want to rejuvenate it with a powder coat and new decals.

Can anyone advise on decal suppliers or graphic designers who could make a decent copy of them? Pics attached and can supply dimensions.

Also, some others were inquiring about the Cinelli dropouts which didn't look standard and a bottom bracket without serials so I've attached pics of them for information.

thanks
