    American Classic wheels side flex

I noticed about 1/8 inch movement when I push moderately side to side. I checked the wheel bearings and they don't have any noticeable play. Pulled (and cleaned) the cassette ... nothing out of order. No broken spokes or out of tension checking them by hand.

Bike and wheels are 1 year old with 3k miles on them.

Any suggestions or does it finally need some lbs tlc? Thanks.

There will be a bit of "lateral elasticity" at the rim and 1/8 inch doesn't sound like much. Bike wheels don't need to take lateral loads since bikes lean around corners. It's probably nothing to worry about. You could have your LBS check spoke tension if you want a professional opinion.

I have a set of Hurricanes and the wrench noticed the side play on my rear wheel and he just tightened up on the lock nuts.
