Name that noise...

Sounds like a bird chirping, very high pitched but not really loud. In fact, for a while I thiught it WAS a bird chirping until I realised I was still hearing it 5 miles later. It only makes the noise when pedaling, not coasting. No brake rubs, shoe or pedal problems. Ideas?

Does it happen every few crank revs? Or, maybe every other rev? Tight link going thru the pulleys.

Does it continue when you pedal while standing?

+1 on derailleur pulleys. Lube and enjoy the silence.
