Quick FD question
If Shimano's website says that an FD is "compatible with 44T/48T top", am I likely to get away with using it on a 52T top?
Thanks.
Thanks.

I think your shift quality will suffer, but you should be able to get it to move between the chainrings.

Shimano is notoriously conservative with their specs.
I use an XT (48T max) with a 53 tooth ring and it shifts just fine.
