converting Mountain Bike
Does anyone know if it's possible to convert a mountain bike to a hybrid, ie will the smaller wheels fit??

I can't imagine what smaller wheels you are talking about. Most hybrids either use mountain bike rims, which are 599mm BSD or 700c (road) wheels which are 622mm BSD.
Your best bet is to get smooth road tires for the wheels you have. These are easily available and make a great improvement for riding an MTB bike on the road. |
I converted a Fisher Joshua f1 and it worked great.Heres what I did 4in stem riser,1.25 Forte road slicks,3 in riser bars with a short adjustable stem.End result is a bullet proof street bike with full suspension. Jack

Telescoping Seatpost, angle adjusting stem, slicks ... woila you have a comfy bike.

Yeah I run 1.75 Road flat's on it at the moment but was wondering if I could swap the wheels for some road bike wheels but just realised that mine are 650 where road bikes wheels are normally 700. So will probably look at just buying a cheap hybrid then swap the components over running Shimano 105's at the moment.

I assume you meant to say 559 mm BSD which is the ISO designation for what are commonly referred to as 26" MTB rims.
