SRAM Cassette Compatibility

Hi All,

I'm currently in Hanoi, Vietnam in desperate need of a new cassette and it seems the only one i can get my hands on is a SRAM 950. My question is, is this going to be compatible with all my Shimano gear? Your next question may be; well what Shimano gear do you have? I don't know, i'm not big on 'gear.' But it's all stock standard stuff. Cheers.

AFAIK, all of SRAM's cassettes are spaced the same as Shimano cassettes with the same number of cogs and also fit on Shimano compatible freehubs so you should be in good shape.

I've had mixed drivetrain components with zero problems: Bontrager chainrings, Shimano Chain, Shimano der, and SRAM cassette. Match the cassette to the number of speeds and you should be fine.
