10 speed hub w/ 9 speed cassette

I am getting the wcs protocol wheels, it says on the website that they are 10 speed compatible, but I would also like to use them on my 9 speed bike. Can this be done. I have the sl3's, which are 10 speed, but with the little cassette spacer I can put them on my 9 speed.
Thanks in advance.

are they 10speed only? 10 speed only hubs have higher splines and you have no way to use a 9 speed cassette unless you grind the splines on the cassette

Damn, that stinks, well, I guess I'll try grinding an old cassette and see how it works out.
